Shri Sunil G. Mallapure, ASP, Panaji Sub Division (Goa) met with an accident at Lanjha (Ratnagiri) on 11/6/2012 midnight while travelling in Private Travellers Bus from Panaji to Mumbai to attend CAT case at Mumbai and expired on the spot. The bus plunged into a 200-feet-deep ravine in the mid night at around 2.00 a.m. 35 other passengers including 4 serious were injured and admitted at various hospitals in Lanjha and Ratnagiri. Police authorities told that, the bus may have skidded on the wet roads due to the rains lashing the area in the past two days.
Shri Sunil G. Mallapure was very sincere, hard worker and co-operative person. He has attended several bi-monthly meetings with Regional Office and closely associated with Association.
